VCU Sustainability Internship Program
VCU Sustainability offers semester- and year-long paid internship opportunities for students interested in contributing to sustainability initiatives at the university. We offer exciting opportunities in various fields and are always exploring new ways to get students with different backgrounds and interests to be a part of our team.
Sustainability as a whole is an interdisciplinary field, which is why we believe that having a wide range of experiences, knowledge and ideas is an essential part of achieving sustainability goals. We offer experiential learning that students may take for college credit and bring the experiences from their internships with them and apply it to their future careers. Student teams work together to plan and execute their own projects, explore new ideas and make a change in the university by implementing sustainable practices. They work alongside university administrators and get hands-on experience solving complex problems.
Internship positions are open to sophomores, juniors or seniors of any major who have an interest in participating in sustainability on campus and furthering social change.
Available intern positions will be posted to Handshake as they become available, typically at the beginning of each semester.
