Get involved
Getting involved in sustainability opportunities at VCU not only empowers individuals to make a positive impact on the planet, but also cultivates a sense of institutional responsibility and stewardship towards our natural and social resources. By engaging in these initiatives, students, alumni, faculty, staff and members of our neighboring communities can actively contribute to creating a more sustainable and equitable Richmond.

VCU Green Games Volunteer Interest Session
Let's slam dunk for VCU Sustainability!
We're inviting students, faculty, and staff to an important open house presentation about a unique volunteer opportunity, the 2025 Green Games at VCU. This initiative aligns directly with VCU’s commitment to sustainability, and we’d love your help in sharing this opportunity with your group.
What are the Green Games?
The Green Games are two VCU basketball games in early 2025. These hands-on experiences aim to maximize recycling, composting, and reduce waste—bringing us one step closer to a zero-waste campus. You can read more about Green Games at this link when the University of Richmond won First Place in the National Campus Race to Zero Waste Competition!
Stop by VCU Sustainability at 930 W Grace Street for a brief presentation any time from 11am-2pm on November 20th, 21st, or 22nd. Walk-ins welcome, no registration needed.
If you have any questions or need additional details, feel free to reach out. We look forward to seeing you there and working together to make VCU a leader in campus sustainability!
